Do you offer virtual therapy?
Yes! I offer virtual therapy for any person seeking therapy in Kansas, Missouri, or Colorado.
What are your hours?
I see clients between the hours of 8 AM and 5:15 PM Monday-Friday.
Where is your office located
I am located in Shawnee, Kansas. Close to I-35 and Shawnee Mission Parkway.
Where do I park?
The best spot to park is behind the building. The entrance to my office is right off the back parking lot.
What can I expect during the first session
The first session would start with a little introduction about myself/ my experience, going over logistics, getting to know you and what you are seeking from therapy. After that I like to give an overview of what therapy might look like being specific to address how we may help you achieve your goals for therapy.
How long are therapy session
Therapy sessions are 45 minuteslong.
How often should I come to therapy?
Most people come to therapy once a week or every other week.
How long will therapy last?
It can be hard to know how long therapy will last. I find that most people reduce the amount of times they come to therapy until they stop coming. This can take any where from 3 months to 1 year.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I am currently in network with Cigna, Aetna, BCBS, United Healthcare, Carelon, and Decent.
What is your out of pocket cost?
I charge $110 out of pocket.
How do I pay for session
I use a company called Alma that will collect your payment information.
Do you address all types of eating disorders?
Yes, whether you are experiencing restriction (anorexia), intentionally throwing up(aka purging) (bulimia), or overeating (binge eating), or a combination of the above, I am confident in my ability to help you address it.
How do you address OCD
I use exposure response prevention or ERP. This technique helps address the need to use a compulsion and helps rewire the brain to not need the compulsion so it can naturally disconnect from the obsession.
What does DBT/ACT/CBT/IFS mean?
There are many ways to address mental health concerns. The alphabet soup is different theories and approaches to do that. Since no one method is providing to always be successful I use multiple to help make sure therapy is successful for my clients.

Absolutely, I encourage people to shop around for a therapist and being able to chat can really help with that.
Can I switch therapist if I don't feel like you are a good fit
Yes! You will not hurt my feelings if you wish to seek therapy from someone else for any reason.
