What can I expect during the first session?

The first session would start with a little introduction about myself/my experience, going over logistics, getting to know you and what you are seeking from therapy. After that, I like to give an overview of what therapy might look like being specific to address how we may help you achieve your goals for therapy.

How long will therapy last?

It can be hard to know how long therapy will last. I find that most people reduce the amount of times they come to therapy until they stop coming. This can take anywhere from 3 months to 1 year.

Yes, I am currently in network with Cigna, Aetna, BCBS,United Healtcare, Carelon, and Decent. I am in the process of getting in network with United.

Do you address all eating disorders?

Yes, whether you are experiencing restriction (anorexia), intentionally throwing up(aka purging) (bulimia), or overeating (binge eating), or a combination of the above, I am confident in my ability to help you address it.

How do you address OCD?

I use exposure response prevention or ERP. This technique helps address the need to use a compulsion and helps rewire the brain to not need the compulsion so it can naturally disconnect from the obsession.

What does CBT/DBT/ACT/IFS mean?

There are many ways to address mental health concerns. The alphabet soup is different theories and approaches to do that. Since no one method is proven to always be successful I use multiple to help make sure therapy is successful for my clients.
